TOSA KICKERS IS A VOLUNTEER RUN CLUB

Simply put, there would be no Tosa Kickers if it weren’t for our outstanding and dedicated group of volunteers who help us year after year.

Each season, we have a list of volunteer positions ready to be filled if you would like to contribute your time and energy to helping the Club. They are:

Volunteer Positions Available Requirements & Duties
Recreational Coach – U6Assist in practices held by our pro coaches – this includes participation. During game portion, help ensure players know basics and time play time. There are 6 games in fall and 6 games in the spring.
Recreational Assistant Coach – U6Assist in practices held by our pro coaches – this includes participation. During game portion, help ensure players know basics and time play time. There are 6 games in fall and 6 games in the spring.
Recreational Coach – U7 and UpMust host weekly practices in fall and spring. Minimum is one hour, one time a week (may do more). Coordinates practice time/dates with practice coordinator. Inserts scores into PlayMetrics after games. Approximately 8 games in fall and 8 games in spring.
Recreational Assistant Coach - U7 and UpThere to assist the head coach at most practices, helps as back-up if needed. Approximately 8 games in fall and 8 games in spring.
Recreational ManagerUses PlayMetrics to enter in practice times, keep game info up to date, and communicate to families. If the team would like a snack schedule (age appropriate) – they are in charge of that schedule. They typically arrange for a coaches gift as well.
Field LinerFall OR Spring, must line minimum 8 times. May do both seasons IF we are short on volunteers
Field Back Up CrewVolunteer may be asked to fix nets, holes, and/or move light goals as needed. Will typically be called on for approximately 8 trips.
Parent Referee - U6U6 - expected to referee 6 dates to get full refund (combo between fall and spring is okay)
Parent Referee - U7 & U8U7 & U8 - expected to referee a total of 4 games to get full refund. Sometimes it’s 4 in fall or 4 in spring, but sometimes you can ref 2 in fall and 2 in spring.
Select Try-out VolunteerCheck families in and be there for questions – Come for 2 evenings. Typically a 6 hour total commitment.
U7/U8 Kick Off VolunteerHelp Amy set up and run the event – this includes, lining fields, stuffing bags, setting up tables, tents, and selling at the concession stand. A 4 hour commitment. 

If interested in volunteering to receive your volunteer buyout, please denote what position you desire in the recreational sign-up form. You can also reach out to the Director of Operations if you have questions (directorofoperations@tosakickers.org).

Volunteer Buyout

A $75.00 volunteer buy-out fee per family; payable at registration. This $75.00 fee will be returned to your family when a minimum of five hours of volunteer service is completed between July 1 and June 30 of the following year.

Once a family has completed its volunteer service, they will be mailed a reimbursement check from the Club treasurer. We process reimbursements twice a year (November and June).

We will not provide prorated reimbursements; the full five hours must be worked in order to get the $75.00 back.
